EDITING

This morning I edited the imported footage as that was the only thing I had left to do for the music video. It didn't take too long (just over two hours) to edit the last 30 seconds of the video and this time I had my group member Sophie helping me finish and perfect the final draft of our video.

EDITING

Today I imported all the footage we filmed from our last shoot onto Final Cut Pro. It took quite a long time as we had a lot of footage and clips to import however as I was waiting I watched them all with my group member Zara and we picked out the ones we liked and made note of them for when it came to putting and editing the clips in our last part of our music video.

MAKE-UP

COSTUME

The costume for our final shoot was again very different to our previous performance costumes in the colours. Me and my other group member Paru suggested our artist to wear an oversized t-shirt as it would give the performance a relaxed, casual feel. We also had our artist wear lace up heels as we were going to get full body shots and close ups of her feet when dancing.

LOCATION SHOOTING

Our location for our final shoot was the big drama room in school. We used this room because we needed to have a dark backdrop instead of our previous white ones as this would create a distinct contrast when the bridge of our song plays. Luckily this room has black painted walls and big enough space to set up the projector again and also move the dolly around as this time that is what we were using to film for the long shots along with another camera on a tripod filming the close ups.

EDITING

Also while I was editing I needed to change the colour of some of the shots as they were too dark such as this one. As I was playing around with the colour corrector I matched a different clips colour to overlay this one and it gave it a dusty pink tone and brightened it up so I decided to apply it to all the narrative shots. I conferred with my group members to see if they liked the colour and they did, so I think we will keep this instead of the super 8 footage.

EDITING

Today I edited for 4 hours during lesson and staying behind school until 5:30pm. In this time I managed to put together the second half of the music video narrative and half of the second performance.

FIFTH SHOOTING

For our fifth shooting the performance shots have to be notably different to our other ones so we have decided to go with a dark theme as our previous ones a quite bright and fun. I hope that these new performance shots are going to be a lot more emotive than the others as these shots will come in when the song is ending which is the turning point in the narrative. I have started looking at gifs and pictures that we can use to project for the final time.

FIFTH SHOOTING

On Monday we have booked out the drama room for last minute shooting. We have decided to film another performance shot because both of our performance shots look quite similar. (The drama room is quite dark so it would create a contrast within the performance shots). I also thought considering I am cinematographer and editor that the new footage would nicely create some diversity within the video and help the bridge in the song seem more apparent.

EDITING

Today me and my group were all together which was good because we could edit the footage together as none of us were really happy with it. Considering my other group members were quite busy doing other work I made myself head editor with the approval of my other group members. I started editing the footage from scratch in another window next to the old footage as I preferred to start from scratch. I edited the new video myself for six hours and managed to get the first narrative and performance scene within this time.

EDITING

Today Paru edited our footage for an hour before me and Sophie took over. We stayed behind school for two hours to try and perfect the first half of our narrative.

PROPS

We are shooting the final part of our narrative this weekend and we need to include plane tickets in the music video to signify that the couple are going on their honeymoon so today I decided to take it upon myself and and make some tickets in photoshop.

FOURTH SHOOTING

Today we filmed the final part of our narrative. We re-shot some of the narrative footage we needed to from last time which is the end scene where the bride runs out of the house to her fiancee. We also managed to shoot one of the performance shots which is the bed scene and the parts where the bridesmaids are included. Today was our final shoot for narrative and it went pretty successful.

Today me and my group sat and edited the footage we filmed to get prepared to show our first small draft of how our music video will look to our class.

THIRD SHOOTING

Today me, Sophie, Zara and Paru filmed for the third time. This was our second and last time shooting/filming our performance shots. We made this performance shot a little different to the previous one as we used different, slightly darker projections and a change of outfit.

SECOND SHOOTING

Today was our second shooting and first shooting of the performance shots. We used our group members house (Paru) to film as she had a beautiful white sheet backdrop which would look perfect in our video. Filming went well today, although we have already planned to film again for performance as we didn't have enough time to finish all the things we needed done, and as cinematographer I thought some of the shots needed to be re-done and also to have a bit more variety for the final piece. However, the projections looked very nice on the backdrop so we will be using it again.

SECOND SHOOTING

Tomorrow during our media lesson me and my other group members will leave to go to shoot some of the performance shots for our music video. We will go to our group member Paru's house as she has all the necessities we need, including a large white backdrop which is perfect for our projections.

SHOOTING

Today me and my other two group members Sophie and Paru filmed the first part of our narrative to our music video. The shooting went well as we got all the footage we hoped to get in the time we allowed ourselves, which means we can begin editing now.

SHOOTING

This weekend me and two of my group members (Sophie and Paru) are going to film a few scenes for our music video. We wanted to get some filming done as soon as possible and thought considering our other group member Zara couldn't attend filming this time due to work, that it would work best if we filmed the scenes that Zara didn't need to be in as she is one of the bridesmaids. Me and Paru will film the narrative parts of our music video and also star in these scenes just as make up artists and hair stylists. Paru will also star in the end of our music video as the brides fiance which we will also film too. As cinematographer, I have organised that we need two camera's and a tripod. I will also set the cameras up on the day and do the majority of the filming.

PRINTED OUT DIGIPAK

This is my finalised digipak which I have printed out to see what it would look like as a real digipak.
