Here is my second draft of my poster and I have made a few changes. I have added a free download of my artists song 'I Do' and a link so her fans can get the song for free. I've also decided to have the poster with no face as I feel like it promotes my artists profession better as she is essentially a DJ and they do not normally show their faces, however as known convention for female artists is that they show their faces on promotional media's which is why I've added many pictures of her to my digipak and subsequently made the mini picture of my album cover more enlarged. I've made the colour of the poster more blue to match my digipak and also the tropical house genre.

FIRST POSTER DRAFT

For my first draft of my poster I decided to make it quite simplistic and not add that much of an effect to it as I didn't want to ruin the quality of the picture that I took. I thought that posters in general should be quite simplistic as to see the writing the posters show, hence my decision to make it quite plain. When I was making my poster I was unsure on where to position my artist, to show her face or to not, so when I presented my digipak and poster to my class showed them both of these posters and more people I spoke to said they prefer the poster with no face. Although the no face isn't conventional to a female music artist (they normally have a close up of their face) it is conventional to the profession of my artist. She is a singer but also a DJ, and DJ's rarely show their face on public things such as album covers or posters.
